About the event
On 7 August 2026, the SmartLAB II workshop took place, devoted to the digital transformation of the design, manufacturing, validation and deployment of advanced material technologies, as well as to dual-use applications.
The meeting brought together representatives of the research community, industry, public administration and business support institutions. Experts from leading companies, research institutes and innovation support organisations presented solutions in industrial digitalisation, intelligent quality control, the Digital Product Passport, sustainable supply chains and science-business cooperation.
Organisers
The event was organised by the Polish Cluster of Composite Technologies together with its consortium partners:
- Sustainable Infrastructure Cluster,
- Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The workshop was held in cooperation with RAE Sp. z o.o. and the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region.
Venue
The meeting was hosted at Winnica Novi — the Palace in Cianowice (Cianowice Duże, ul. Szkolna 32). The intimate format and the surrounding Małopolska landscape encouraged discussions about innovation and the building of lasting ties between research and business.
Win & Wine Business Mixer
The conference part concluded with the Win & Wine Business Mixer, a networking meeting focused on making new contacts and initiating joint research and business projects. Participants also took part in a wine tasting accompanied by a talk on the history of winemaking in Małopolska and the growth of the region’s vineyards.
